PersonA Sakyan noble, son of Amitodana, who fled the Sakyan homeland with his family upon learning of Viḍūḍabha’s planned destruction of the clan.
A Sakyan, son of Amitodana; he was the father of Bhaddakaccānā and her six brothers. On learning from soothsayers of the impending destruction of the Sākyā by Viḍūḍabha, Paṇḍu left the Sakyan country and settled beyond the Gaṅgā. Mhv.viii.18 f; Dpv.x.i.
