Phalakadāyaka

Person

An arahant who, as a wagon builder ninety-one world-cycles ago, gave a plank of sandalwood to the Buddha Vipassī, and later reigned four times as a king named Bhavanimmita.

An Arahant. Ninety-one world-cycles ago he was a wagon builder (yānakāra), and gave a plank of sandalwood to Vipassī Buddha.

Fifty-seven world-cycles ago he was king four times under the name of Bhavanimmita (v.l. Santa) (Ap.i.174).

He is probably identical with Tissa Thera (13). ThagA.i.199 f.
