Pilakkhaphaladāyaka
PersonAn Arahant who, eighteen world-cycles ago, offered a pilakkha fruit to the Buddha Atthadassī, with his Apadāna verses attributed in the commentary to two different theras, suggesting there may have been two elders of this name.
An Arahant. Eighteen world-cycles ago he met Atthadassī Buddha and gave him a pilakkha fruit (Ap.i.296, repeated at Ap.ii.410).
His Apadāna verses are, in the Theragāthā Commentary, attributed both to Dhammapāla Thera (ThagA.i.326) and to Passika Thera (ThagA.i.355).
There may have been two of the same name.
