Personスラッタ(Suraṭṭha)の王でダンマーソーカ(Dhammāsoka)の助言者。ウッタラー(Uttarā)の父である餓鬼ナンダカ(Nandaka)から仏の教えに従うよう諭された。
King of Suraṭṭha, a contemporary of Dhammāsoka, whose adviser he was. One day, as Piṅgala was returning from Dhammāsoka’s court, the hungry ghost (peta) Nandaka, father of Uttarā, revealed himself and instructed him to follow the Buddha’s teaching. Pv.iv.3; PvA.244 ff.
