A slave of the millionaire Meṇḍaka, counted among the ‘five persons of great merit,’ known for ploughing fourteen furrows with a single plough.

Slave of Meṇḍaka (q.v.) He was one of the five persons of Great Merit (pañca-mahāpuññā).⁷ When he ploughed the field with a single plough he made fourteen furrows, seven on each side.⁸
