Reṇupūjaka
PersonAn arahant who, ninety-one world-cycles ago, offered the pollen of nāga flowers to the Buddha Vipassī; he is thought to be the same person as the elder Vajjiputta.
An Arahant. Ninety-one world-cycles ago he saw Vipassī Buddha and offered him the pollen (reṇu) of nāga flowers.
Forty-five world-cycles ago he was a king named Reṇu (Ap.i.146).
He is evidently identical with Vajjiputta Thera. ThagA.i.143.
