A brahmin village in Kosala, whose inhabitants were called Sāleyyakā and where the Apaṇṇaka Sutta and Sāleyyaka Sutta were taught.

A brahmin village of Kosala, its inhabitants were called Sāleyyakā. The Apaṇṇaka Sutta and the Sāleyyaka Sutta were taught there M.i.285, 400. See also Sālā Sutta.
