Satipaṭṭhāna Sutta

Sutta

The tenth discourse of the Majjhima Nikāya, essentially identical to the longer Mahāsatipaṭṭhāna Sutta of the Dīgha Nikāya, except that its detailed treatment of the Four Noble Truths was instead made into a separate discourse, the Saccavibhaṅga Sutta.

The tenth sutta of the Majjhimanikāya. It is identical with the Mahāsatipaṭṭhāna Sutta of the Dīghanikāya, except that towards the end, the latter Sutta interpolates paragraphs explaining in detail the Four Noble Truths. These, in the Majjhimanikāya, form a separate sutta, the Saccavibhaṅga Sutta.
