Sattamba

웨살리 서쪽의 사당으로, 바라나시 왕 키키의 일곱 공주가 한때 그곳에서 영적 성취를 두고 겨루었기 때문에 이름이 붙었다고 전해진다. 원래는 한 신에게 봉헌되었으나, 붓다가 웨살리를 방문한 후 그의 거처가 되었다.
A shrine near Vesāli. (D.ii.102; Ud.vi.1; S.v.259; A.iv.309, etc.). It was so called because, in the past, seven princesses, daughters of Kiki, king of Bārāṇasī, left Rājagaha and fought for attainment at that spot. It was originally dedicated to some deity, but after the Buddha’s visit to Vesāli, it became a place of residence for him (UdA.323, etc.) It was to the west of Vesāli. D.iii.9.
