Der Staatselefant von König Pasenadi, dessentwegen der Buddha eine besondere Lehrrede hielt; er wurde so genannt, weil er weiß war.

The state elephant of Pasenadi, on whose account the Buddha taught a special discourse (A.iii.345). He was so called because he was white (AA.ii.669; cf. ThagA.ii.7).
