L’éléphant d’État du roi Pasenadi, à propos duquel le Bouddha donna un discours particulier ; il fut ainsi nommé parce qu’il était blanc.

The state elephant of Pasenadi, on whose account the Buddha taught a special discourse (A.iii.345). He was so called because he was white (AA.ii.669; cf. ThagA.ii.7).
