波斯匿（Pasenadi）王的御象，佛陀曾為此專門開示；因體色潔白而得名「白象」（Seta）。

The state elephant of Pasenadi, on whose account the Buddha taught a special discourse (A.iii.345). He was so called because he was white (AA.ii.669; cf. ThagA.ii.7).
