Suppiya
Person제자 브라마닷타와 부처님의 덕성, 교리, 승가에 관해 나눈 토론이 『범망경』의 설법을 촉발한 유행자로, 그 자신은 산자야 벨랏티풋타의 추종자였다.
A wanderer (paribbājaka). He was the teacher of Brahmadatta. It was the discussion between these two, in the Ambalaṭṭhikā park, regarding the virtues of the Buddha, his Dhamma and his Order, which led to the teaching of the Brahmajāla Sutta (D.i.1). Suppiya was a follower of Sañcaya Belaṭṭhiputta. DA.i.35.
