L’une des trois divisions du Tipiṭaka, comprenant cinq recueils — les Dīgha, Majjhima, Saṃyutta, Aṅguttara et Khuddaka Nikāyas — les quatre premiers étant étroitement liés par leur caractère, plusieurs discours apparaissant dans plus d’un recueil.

One of the three divisions of the Tipiṭaka. It consists of five collections (nikāya):

Dīghanikāya,

Majjhimanikāya,

Saṃyuttanikāya,

Aṅguttaranikāya

Khuddakanikāya.

The first four are homogeneous and cognate in character. A number of suttas appear in two or more of them.
