Einer der drei Teile des Tipiṭaka, bestehend aus fünf Sammlungen — dem Dīgha-, Majjhima-, Saṃyutta-, Aṅguttara- und Khuddaka-Nikāya —, wobei die ersten vier in ihrem Charakter eng verwandt sind und mehrere Lehrreden in mehr als einem von ihnen vorkommen.

One of the three divisions of the Tipiṭaka. It consists of five collections (nikāya):

Dīghanikāya,

Majjhimanikāya,

Saṃyuttanikāya,

Aṅguttaranikāya

Khuddakanikāya.

The first four are homogeneous and cognate in character. A number of suttas appear in two or more of them.
