Один из трёх разделов Типитаки, включающий пять собраний — Дигха-, Маджджхима-, Самьютта-, Ангуттара- и Кхуддака-никаи; первые четыре тесно связаны по характеру, и ряд сутт встречается более чем в одном из них.

One of the three divisions of the Tipiṭaka. It consists of five collections (nikāya):

Dīghanikāya,

Majjhimanikāya,

Saṃyuttanikāya,

Aṅguttaranikāya

Khuddakanikāya.

The first four are homogeneous and cognate in character. A number of suttas appear in two or more of them.
