Ein umherziehender Asket, der Sāriputta über Nibbāna und ein andermal über Glück und Leid befragte.

v.l. Sāmandakāni, Sāmañcakāni.– A wanderer (paribbājaka), mentioned (S.iv.261 f) as having visited Sāriputta at Ukkacelā (Ukkāvelā) and questioned him regarding nibbāna, and again (A.v.121 f) at Nālakagāma, where he questioned him regarding weal and woe.

He is, perhaps, to be identified with Sāmaññakāni.
