Sūrasena
PlaceL’un des seize grands pays de l’Inde ancienne, situé au sud du Kuru avec pour capitale Madhurā, célèbre dans les épopées pour son lien avec Kṛṣṇa.
One of the sixteen great countries (Mahājanapadā) (q.v.) It is mentioned with Maccha, and was located in the south of the Kuru country. Its capital was Madhurā. It is famous in the Epics and the Purāṇas because of its connection with Krṣṇa, and the Yādavas.
