A chieftain of the Gandhabbas and father of Suriyavaccasā, who was present at the great gathering described in the Mahāsamaya Sutta.

He was present at the Mahāsamaya. (D.ii.258; see Hopkins: Epic Mythology, s.v. Tumburu).
