Timbaruka
PersonEin Wanderasket, der den Buddha in Sāvatthī aufsuchte, um über den Ursprung von Freude und Leid zu sprechen, und der, nachdem er erfuhr, dass Unwissenheit allem bedingten Dasein zugrunde liegt, ein Anhänger des Buddha geworden sein soll.
A wanderer (paribbājaka) who visited the Buddha at Sāvatthi and discussed with him the origin of pleasure and pain. The Buddha explained to him how ignorance was at the root of all conditioned existence.
It is said that Timbaruka became a follower of the Buddha (S.ii.22 f).
