Timbaruka
PersonUn ascète errant qui rendit visite au Bouddha à Sāvatthī pour discuter de l’origine du plaisir et de la douleur, et qui, ayant appris que l’ignorance est le fondement de toute existence conditionnée, serait devenu un disciple du Bouddha.
A wanderer (paribbājaka) who visited the Buddha at Sāvatthi and discussed with him the origin of pleasure and pain. The Buddha explained to him how ignorance was at the root of all conditioned existence.
It is said that Timbaruka became a follower of the Buddha (S.ii.22 f).
