An arahant who, in a former birth, saw the Buddha Siddhattha taking his meal and brought him a pot of water, and sixty-one aeons ago became a king named Vimala, probably identical with the elder Sānu.

An Arahant. In a former birth he saw Siddhattha Buddha taking his meal and brought him a pot of water. Sixty-one world-cycles ago he became a king named Vimala (Ap.i.205). He is probably identical with Sānu Thera. ThagA.i.115.
