Uddālaka Jātaka
Jātaka他所で語られた欺瞞的な人物の物語を再度語り、ここでは同様に欺瞞に満ちた生活を送った比丘に当てはめられ、バールフット・ストゥーパの彫刻の中にも描かれている本生話。
The story of Uddālaka given above. It was related in reference to a monk who led a deceitful life.
The monk is identified with Uddālaka. (J.iii.232).
The Jātaka is depicted in the Bhārhūt Tope (see Cunningham, Plate XLVI).
On the same occasion were taught the Makkaṭa, Kuhaka, and Setaketu Jātaka stories.
