Udumbaraphaladāyaka

Person

An arahant who, as a householder in the time of the Buddha Vipassī, met him on the bank of the river Vinatā and offered him freshly picked figs; he is thought to be the same person as the elder Paccaya.

An Arahant. In the time of Vipassī Buddha he was a householder.

Meeting the Buddha walking along the bank of the river Vinatā, he plucked some figs and gave them to him (Ap.i.295).

He is probably identical with Paccaya Thera. See ThagA.i.341.
