Placeヴェーデーハ王がミティラーへ逃げるのに使ったトンネル入口の所在地であるパンチャーラの都市で、『ウマンガ・ジャータカ』に語られている
A city of the Pañcālā (J.vi.448, 450, 458, 459). Here was the entrance to the tunnel through which King Vedeha escaped to Mithilā, as related in the Umaṅga Jātaka (q.v.)
