一個地獄名；據覺音（Buddhaghosa）說，它並非獨立的地獄，而是地獄中一段受苦時期的名稱。
A hell (niraya) (S.i.152; Sn.p.126). Buddhaghosa says (SnA.ii.476 f; see also A.v.173), however, that it is not a special hell, but the name of a period of suffering in hell.
