Vācissara
PersonA Sinhalese monk, probably of the twelfth century, who wrote commentaries to several of Buddhadatta’s works and was also the author of the Rūpārūpavibhāga and Sīmālaṅkārasaṅgaha.
A Singhalese monk who wrote Commentaries to Buddhadatta’s works: the Abhidhammāvatāra, the Vinayavinicchaya, the Uttaravinicchaya, and the Khemappakaraṇa.
He probably belonged to the twelfth century, and was also the author of the Rūpārūpavibhāga and the Sīmālaṅkārasaṅghaha (q.v.) P.L.C.108 f., 156, 174, 202; also Gv.62, 71.
