The surname assumed by Mānābharaṇa (1). when he became governor of Dakkhiṇadesa, with his headquarters at Puṅkhagāma. He also bore the title of Mahādipāda. This Mānābharaṇa was the father of Parakkamabāhu I. Cv.lxi.26; lxii.4, 62.
