वेदिसा और कोसम्बी के बीच का एक नगर, जो बावरी के शिष्यों के मार्ग पर स्थित था; कहा जाता है कि यह तुम्बवनगर का ही दूसरा नाम है, जिसे वनसावत्थी भी कहा जाता है।

Vanasavhaya.– A city, lying between Vedisa and Kosambī, on the road taken by Bāvarī’s disciples (SN. vs. 1011).

The Commentary states (SNA.ii.583) that this was another name for Tumbavanagara (v.l. Pavana), and that it was also called Vanasāvatthi.
