The introductory verses of the Pārāyana recounting the story of the brahmin Bāvarī and his students’ journey to see the Buddha at Rājagaha.

The introductory stanzas (976-1031) of the Parāyana, which give the story of Bāvarī, the circumstances that led to his sending his students to the Buddha, and their journey to Rājagaha (SN., pp.190-7).

The Cūḷaniddesa, which comments on the Parāyana (p.6 ff), does not comment on these stanzas.
