PersonA thirteenth-century Sri Lankan monk of the forest-dwelling order who authored the Rasavāhinī and other works, including probably the earliest Sinhala grammar.
A Thera of Sri Lanka, who belonged to the Araññavāsī Nikāya. He wrote the Rasavāhinī and the Samantakūṭa-vaṇṇanā, and also, probably, the Singhalese grammar known as the Sidatsangarā. He lived in the thirteenth century and was a pupil of Ānanda Vanaratana. P.L.C. 222 f; Svd.1263.
