거둬들인 채권을 가지고 귀가하던 중 길에 도적이 있는 것을 알아챈 부유한 상인이 소들을 최대한 빨리 몰아 무사히 집에 도착했다는 이야기로, 비슷한 경험이 있는 아나타삔디까에게 들려준 자타카.

The Bodhisatta was once a rich merchant, and one day, while on his way home from a village where he had collected his dues, he noticed that there were robbers about. He, therefore, urged his oxen on to the top of their speed and reached home safely.

The story was told to Anāthapiṇḍika, who had a similar experience. J.i.412 f.
