주제별로 분류된 삼장의 한 부분으로, 붓다고사에 따르면 논장 전체와 게송으로 짓지 않은 경들로 이루어진다고 한다.

A portion of the Tipiṭaka in its arrangement according to matter (aṅga).

According to Buddhaghosa it includes the whole of the Abhidhamma Piṭaka and suttas not composed in verse. DA.i.24; Pug.iv.9, 28.
