Vājapeyya
Otherभाष्यों में दो प्रकार से समझाया गया एक यज्ञ विधि: लोगों का दयालु और सुखद वचनों से अभिवादन करना, अथवा एक यज्ञ जिसमें सोम पिया जाता है और सत्रह पशु सत्रह बार अर्पित किए जाते हैं।
A sacrificial offering; the Commentaries (e.g., ItvA. 75, 76) give it two interpretations:
Greeting people kindly with soft and pleasant speech (peyyavajjam, piyavācatā);
A sacrifice in which Soma (Vāja) is drunk.
In the second seventeen animals are offered seventeen times.
