Ādicca
Person太陽の異名であり、アディティの子を意味すると説明され、また釈迦族王家の氏族名でもある。
Another name for the Sun (suriya) (D.iii.196).
Buddhaghosa explains the name as meaning Aditi’s son (Aditiyā putto).
Ādicca was also the clan (gotta) name of the Sākyā who were called the Ādiccā (Sn.v.423).
Buddhaghosa (VibhA.466) gives it as a clan name of the Khattiyas, together with Koṇḍañña-gotta.
