SuttaBài kinh so sánh những bài kinh sâu sắc của Như Lai với trống Ānaka của dòng Dasāraha, mặt trống đã biến mất chỉ còn lại khung gỗ, cảnh báo rằng trong tương lai các tỳ khưu sẽ xao lãng những giáo pháp thâm sâu của Đức Phật để chuộng những sáng tác dài dòng của các thi sĩ và đệ tử.
Like the Ānaka drum of the Dasārahas, in which the drumhead vanished, leaving only the framework of pegs, even so is it with the discourses of the Tathāgata which are deep in meaning. They lie neglected and forgotten while men will turn their attention to the discourses of poets and the utterances of disciples, full of words; these they will learn and master instead of the Buddha’s own teachings.
