SuttaMột bài kinh khác, khác với bài kinh mang tính ngụ ngôn cùng tên, so sánh bốn loại rắn độc hoặc dữ tợn với bốn loại người được phân biệt bởi mức độ nhanh chóng nổi giận và thời gian cơn giận kéo dài, tên gọi này cũng được chia sẻ bởi một chương không liên quan của Tương Ưng Bộ (Saṃyuttanikāya).
There are four kinds of snakes in the world: the venomous but not fierce, the fierce but not venomous, the one that is both and the one that is neither. Similarly there are four kinds of persons: the one quick to get angry but with short-lived anger, the one slow to get angry but with lasting anger, etc. (A.ii.110-11)
