Asita Devala

A sage who confronted seven brahmin hermits claiming exclusive spiritual superiority, growing more radiant the more they cursed him, until they abandoned their pride; identified by Buddhaghosa as the Bodhisatta.

OtherPlus communément appelé Kāḷa Devala, l’un des sept disciples principaux du sage Sarabhaṅga, qui aida à persuader son frère Nārada d’abandonner un engouement, et qui, à l’époque actuelle, devint Mahā Kaccāna.
More commonly called Kāḷa Devala, one of the sage Sarabhaṅga’s seven chief disciples who helped persuade his brother Nārada to give up an infatuation, and who in the present age became Mahā Kaccāna.
