一位仙人，曾對峙七位自詡天生高貴的婆羅門苦行者，任憑他們咒詛也愈發容光煥發，最終使其放棄傲慢；覺音尊者稱此仙人即是菩薩。

A sage who confronted seven brahmin hermits claiming exclusive spiritual superiority, growing more radiant the more they cursed him, until they abandoned their pride; identified by Buddhaghosa as the Bodhisatta.

通常稱為迦羅提婆羅，是仙人娑羅槃伽七大弟子之一，曾協助勸服其弟那羅陀放棄迷戀，此世則轉生為大迦旃延尊者。

More commonly called Kāḷa Devala, one of the sage Sarabhaṅga’s seven chief disciples who helped persuade his brother Nārada to give up an infatuation, and who in the present age became Mahā Kaccāna.
