曾侍奉毗沙門天王十二年、以此換得日後名為阿優瓦達那童子的夜叉，在約定索命之日卻因佛陀及弟子在場護持而未能得逞。

A yakkha who, having served Vessavaṇa for twelve years, was granted the boy later known as Āyuvaḍḍhana Kumāra as his reward, but was thwarted by the Buddha’s protective presence on the day set for the boy’s death.
