흐트러진 옷차림에 살집 있는 한 여인이 조용하고 은밀하게 볼일을 보는 모습을 창밖으로 지켜본 왕이 그 단정함에 감동하여 그녀를 왕비로 삼고, 그녀가 전륜성왕이 될 운명의 아들을 낳았다는 자타카로, 비구들이 놀랄 만큼 왕자가 소박하고 통통한 아내를 사랑했던 이유를 설명하고자 릿차비족 왕자의 아내에 관해 설해졌다.

A Jātaka about a king who, observing from his window how modestly and discreetly an unkempt, overweight woman attends to a private need, is so impressed by her decency that he makes her his chief queen and she bears him a son destined for universal kingship, told about the plain, heavyset wife of a Licchavi prince to explain why he loved her despite the monks’ surprise.
