พระสูตรที่คลี่คลายความเห็นไม่ตรงกันระหว่างสาวกสองท่านว่าพระพุทธเจ้าทรงสอนเรื่องเวทนาไว้กี่ประเภท คือสองหรือสามประเภท โดยพระพุทธเจ้าทรงอธิบายว่าคำตอบทั้งสองถูกต้องขึ้นอยู่กับการจำแนกที่ใช้ และทรงจัดให้กามสุขอยู่ในระดับต่ำกว่าความสุขอันลึกซึ้งที่ได้จากฌานสมาบัติมาก

A discourse resolving a disagreement between two disciples over how many kinds of feeling the Buddha teaches — two or three — in which the Buddha explains that both answers are correct depending on the classification used, and ranks sensual pleasure well below the deeper pleasures attained through meditative absorption.
