The one-eyed chief groom of the king of Bārāṇasī’s elephant house, dismissed from service after repeatedly and carelessly destroying a crow’s nest above the stable doorway.

Personシーラヴァティーの商人の息子で、阿羅漢果を得た後、王を教化しに帰郷し、自分を称えて建てられた僧院を受けたが、財産への執着なく去る前にそれを僧団に与えた。
A merchant’s son of Sīlavatī who, after attaining Arahantship, returned home to convert the king and receive a monastery built in his honour, which he then gave to the Saṅgha before departing without attachment to possessions.
