一位糖商，在從安陀迦頻陀往王舍城的路上遇見佛陀，供養一罐糖予僧眾，之後依囑將餘糖傾入水中並聞其發出聲響，隨即受持三皈依成為在家弟子。

A sugar dealer who, meeting the Buddha on the road from Andhakavinda to Rājagaha, offered a pot of sugar to the monks, and after being told to pour the leftover sugar into water and hearing it crackle, took the three refuges and became a lay follower.
