マハッラナーガの子で二十四年間スリランカを統治した王。マハーヴィハーラの周囲に壁を築き、いくつもの僧院を建立し、トゥーパーラーマに貯水池と布薩堂を建設した。弟のカニッタ・ティッサが後を継いだ。

Son of Mahallanāga and king of Sri Lanka for twenty-four years, who built a wall around the Mahāvihāra, erected several monasteries, constructed a reservoir and an uposatha hall at the Thūpārāma, and was succeeded by his younger brother Kaniṭṭha-Tissa.
