사꺄족 빤두의 막내딸로, 경쟁하는 구혼자들을 피해 강가강에 띄워 보내져 스리랑카에 표착하였고, 빤두와수데와 왕과 결혼하여 열 명의 자녀를 낳았다

The youngest daughter of the Sakyan Paṇḍu, who was set adrift on the Gaṅgā to escape rival suitors and landed in Sri Lanka, where she married King Paṇḍuvāsudeva and bore ten children.
