ကဿပဗုဒ္ဓ လက်ထက်၊ ဗာရာဏသီ မင်းကြီးကိကီ၏ သမီးခုနစ်ဦးအနက် စတုတ္ထမြောက်ဖြစ်ပြီး နှစ်နှစ်သောင်းပတ်လုံး ကညာအဖြစ် နေထိုင်ကာ ရဟန်းတို့အတွက် ခန်းမတစ်ခု ဆောက်လုပ်ပေးခဲ့သူ၊ ဘဒ္ဒါ ကုဏ္ဍလကေသာ၏ ရှေးဘဝတစ်ခုအဖြစ် သတ်မှတ်ခံရသော်လည်း၊ အခြားအခေါက်အမူအရ မဟာပဇာပတိ ဂေါတမီဖြစ်သည်ဟု ဆိုသည်။

The fourth of the seven daughters of King Kikī of Bārāṇasī in the time of Kassapa Buddha, who lived in celibacy for twenty thousand years and built a hall for the monks; she is identified as a previous birth of Bhaddā Kuṇḍalakesā, though one source identifies her instead with Mahāpajāpatī Gotamī.
