A Sinhalese ruler (Ādipāda) who founded a town at Govindamala in Rohaṇa and settled there after Māgha’s forces devastated Sri Lanka.

The younger son of Vijayabāhu III, made Yuvarāja under Parakkamabāhu II, who mastered the Tipiṭaka and later instructed the theras in it.

The second of Parakkamabāhu II’s five sons who, after fleeing a usurper’s coup, was restored by rebel soldiers and ruled as Bhuvanekabāhu I (1237–1284 CE), notably commissioning scribes to copy the entire Tipiṭaka for distribution to the chief monasteries.

The son of Bhuvanekabāhu I who succeeded Parakkamabāhu III, ruling from Hatthiselapura for eleven years (1291–1302 CE) and holding annual coronation festivals with new ordinations.

An eminent Sri Lankan monk of the fifteenth century, teacher of the author of the Anāpattidīpanī.
