ශාක්‍ය මහානාමට, පහ නොකළ මනසේ තත්ත්ව ලෝභය, ද්වේෂය හා මෝහය ඇති කරන ආකාරය බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ පැහැදිලි කරන දේශනාවකි. එහිදී තමන් සම්බුද්ධත්වයට පෙර ගැටගැසී සිටි අරගලයන් සහ දුක නැති කිරීමට තපස මගින් හැකි යැයි විශ්වාස කළ පිරිවැජියන් සමඟ තිබූ සංවාදයක්ද කියා දෙයි.
