พระสูตรที่พระพุทธเจ้าเสด็จไปเยี่ยมภิกษุสามรูปที่อยู่ร่วมกันในป่า ในตอนแรกถูกผู้เฝ้ากุฏิห้ามไว้เพราะเกรงจะรบกวนสมาธิของท่าน จากนั้นพระองค์ตรัสถามถึงคุณธรรมที่ท่านทั้งสามบรรลุ และทรงสรรเสริญความปรองดองในชีวิตสงฆ์ร่วมกันของท่าน ซึ่งภายหลังมีเทวดายืนยันว่าเลื่องลือไปถึงหมู่เทวดาด้วย

A discourse in which the Buddha visits three monks dwelling together in a forest grove, is initially turned away by their attendant fearing to disturb their meditation, then questions them about their spiritual attainments and praises the harmony of their communal life, later confirmed by a spirit as renowned even among the gods.
